Tour de France 2019: Caleb Ewan wins stage 11

Caleb Ewan sprinted to the first Tour de France victory of his career by beating Dylan Groenewegen in a photo finish on stage 11 in Toulouse.

Groenewegen (Team Jumbo-Visma) led out the sprint but Ewan (Lotto Soudal) used the Dutchman’s slipstream to overtake him in the closing metres. Elia Viviani (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) was third.

Ewan has now won stages of all three Grand Tours.

Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) finished safely in the peloton to retain the overall lead.
